Meet the team - Nigel Pawley, Service Team Manager, Mercedes-Benz of Plymouth

There are hundreds of people involved in the day-to-day running of Mercedes-Benz South West so we'd like you to meet the team. Throughout our Retailers and Service Centres across Cornwall, Devon and Somerset, we have over 400 Members of Staff – each person being a vital cog in our automotive clock. Our Aftersales teams are responsible for ensuring that both you and your Mercedes-Benz are looked after: whether it is booking you in for your yearly service, assisting with finding the perfect accessories for your car, or providing advice on any unexpected repairs. It is our pleasure to introduce you to a very popular member of our Plymouth team, and a familiar face to many of you - Service Team Manager, Nigel Pawley. Nigel is a Devon local; born and raised in Plymouth. He has been with us here at Mercedes-Benz South West for more than a decade. He credits the business for many things, including the introduction, and subsequent marriage to his now wife, Sheryl.

• What do you do?
  • I’m a Service Team Manager at Mercedes-Benz of Plymouth.
• Have you always been in the Motor Trade?
  • My time has mostly been split between the motor trade my time in the police force.
• What is your favourite Mercedes-Benz model?
  • Mercedes-Benz C-Class AMG C63.

• How many attempts did it take you to pass your driving test?
  • It took me 2 attempts to pass, but I’m now also a qualified advanced driver. I also passed the Police car and van test.
• Favourite place to visit in the South West?
  • Anywhere that does a good spa day!
• What radio station do you like to listen to in the car?
  • Whatever the Bride wants to listen to!
• Favourite TV Show to binge watch?
  • Grand Designs.
• Favourite Film?
  • Any of the James Bond or ‘Carry On…’ films.
• Favourite Bands or Artists?
  • London Grammar, George Michael and Coldplay.
• Best holiday you’ve ever been on?
  • Any holiday is great in the Balearics.
• If the world ends tomorrow, what would you choose as your last meal?
  • An Omelette!
• What are you most looking forward to in 2018?
  • Time with my family, and the Football World Cup!
• Finally… Jam then cream, or cream then jam?
