Summer Festivals in the South West

Summer has long been known as Festival Season across the nation, and the South West is no exception. The summer festivals across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset extend far beyond Worthy Farm! We’ve rounded up the best of the West(Country), from music, arts, family-friendlies and fireworks, there is undeniably something for everyone to enjoy over the warmer months.

Port Eliot Festival, 22 – 28 July

Heralded as “one of the most successful arts festivals in the country” by The Times; Port Eliot Festival puts imagination at the heart of the annual event which takes place on the famous estate. Boardmasters, 7 – 11 August

The Newquay festival returns with a killer line up of international artists, surf league competitions and yoga, all set upon the dramatic backdrop of the Cornish coastline.

Falmouth Week, 9 - 18 August

This sailing regatta dates all the way back to 1837, and has evolved beyond the seas to a range of on-shore activities which showcase the best that Falmouth has to offer.

Henry’s Little Big Gig, 20 – 21 September

This family-friendly festival was designed with your little ones in mind. From arts and crafts, dance, and even a fashion show – Henry’s Little Big Gig offers loads to get involved in!

Taunton Live Arts, throughout July

Discover a trail of exhibitions, artwork and events based on the theme of ‘imagination’, which are all created by local artists and community groups across Taunton.

Fake Festival Taunton, 27 July

A banging evening of the best “fake” bands in the business. Including Guns2Roses, Kazabian and Coldplace.

Taunton Flower Show, 2 - 3 August

Somerset County Show, 21 & 22 September

A spectacular display of all the county has to offer. Come along and say hi to the Mercedes-Benz of Taunton team at Somerset’s highlight event of the year.

Yealmpton Show, 31 July

All of the delights of the countryside come together in this family friendly event. This is the perfect mid-week event to kick off a fun-filled summer holiday. The Mercedes-Benz of Plymouth team will be there to say hello and talk you through our latest products.

Ocean City Blues N Jazz Festival, 9 – 11 August

Returning to Plymouth for the third year in a row. Enjoy a variety of Open Air events and performances across The Barbican and Royal Parade.

Plymouth Firework championships, 14 - 15 August

Kingsbridge Show, 7 September

Now celebrating its 186th year, Kingsbridge Show returns for another fun-filled day out for all ages. Come and say hello to our team on the day.

Budleigh Music Festival, 12 – 20 July

This programme of classical music, including free lunchtime concerts, brings together classical musicians of all kinds to the Jurassic Coast.

Tunes in the Castle, 3 - 4 August

Beautiful Days, 16 – 18 August

Well known as being one of the best family festivals in the country, this folk-rock institution returns for a 16th year.

Dartmouth Royal Regatta, 24 – 31 August

A week of events lead up to the Official Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta on 31 August, the Mercedes-Benz of Exeter team will be there so do come and say hello. The Regatta Family Fun Day kicks things off on Saturday 24.
